Tom Daley has just been labeled a "diving genius" by Britain's performance director. I have to agree. The kid is unbelievable!

I agree.  Watching him dive is amazing.  The confidence and composure that he shows, at his young age, is unbelievable!  I can't wait to see what he does in London in '12.

No doubt. Watching him in interviews he seems like such a sweet kid! But he has this amazing maturity when it comes to competition. It is impressive for sure. It will be exciting to watch him in 2012. I understand he is working on increasing his DD. If he can combine a higher DD with those amazing entries -- he will be a force to reckon with!

This definently fits Tom. He is a great diver and person so it is neat to see him have so much support in his own country.

I agree. The support his country is providing is awesome. I saw an interview with him where he said he is now starting to get noticed in public places. Hopefully all the attention is good and remains positive. He seems like a well-adjusted young man who is able to cope with the attention and continue to keep his focus on his diving.

Yeah, unfortuantely.. not all of the attention he has received has been positive. I know he had to change schools due to bullying so I hope things with school are going better for him now and I believe they are. But he is very level headed and works hard to succeed, and it shows. I wish him the best of luck.

It is unfortunate that with attention you get the good and the bad. I too wish him the very best. It is good to know he has friends like you in the diving community.
