What do you think the most important part of a dive is? What do judges look at most closely?

I would have to say the most important part of a dive is the entry. Although judges watch the entire dive beginning with the approach, the "rip" entry (an entry without splash) carries the most clout. Although the hurdle, form, and execution of a dive is critical, judges are looking for that "rip" entry in order to award a diver with high scores. If a dive is performed well, but has a large splash, it will score less than a dive that was performed fair with a "rip" entry.
